Dear Jaindl Parents/Guardians:
Jaindl Elementary School will conduct our second “emergency preparedness” drill on Monday, February 24th. Each staff member will explain to the students that this is a “lock down” drill. Prior to the drill, our staff will review the procedures with the students. We want all students to be aware of what to do in the event of a crisis. Please talk to your child about the importance of being prepared in the event of an emergency. Our aim is to help the students feel comfortable throughout the drill.
Keeping our students safe and secure is a community effort. We appreciate all of the parent support in working with the school to this end. If you have any specific questions about this drill, please feel free to call me.

From Mrs. Vassallo,
Over the past four years, I've been working in many of the Parkland schools. Prior to this school year, I taught Media Center at Fogelsville Elementary. I have a passion for influencing and teaching children. I am married and have two daughters who keep me busy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, shopping and watching sports (GO EAGLES, FLYERS, PHANTOMS, PHILLIES & SIXERS). I also enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends. We spend most of our summer at our Lake Wallenpaupack lake house. I look forward to an exciting second half of the school year. Keep Reading!
